-> Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew, if Syndisis InterChange was still
-> and if it still is. Can it change lightwave objects into wavefront or
-> ects?
-> It would be greatly appreciated.
I got this response from John Foust (Syndisis Prez) on
comp.sys.raytracing.

You asked about 3D conversions, too. We make a commercial product
called InterChange that converts between more than 30 file formats.
We don't read POV, though. First of all, the POV team doesn't
let commercial interests use the source code, so we'd be forced
to write our own POV parser. Second, people who use freeware
3D programs are not often interested in purchasing conversion
software. :-) However, we do export a simple POV script, allowing
you to convert from many other formats. If the POV team let
us use their code, at least we'd stand a chance of parsing
POV scripts. Also, I think I heard a rumor that someone might
be working on a POV script reader that output triangles.
